Interactive Session with Children on Self-Belief

15th Sep. 2019
VHF Centre (Dwarka) held an interactive session with children on self-belief.

Thought of The Day

The dishonest, lazy, disobedient person (family member or an outsider) may promise & may give thousand talks, but such a person proves to be non-cooperative. One can safely rely on own-self for the fulfillment of mission. Our strong self belief never let us down. Believe the power within you and move on.

For-Women Empowerment-

 - Women Empowerment -

नारी सम्मान, देश महान

Discrimination against women still exists in India. It's centuries old phenomenon & continues to hold on. Women at all levels face the indifferent attitude, be it at home or workplace. Women are supposed to look after family, raise children and always be a never complaining member. Working women are paid less than male colleagues. The ability is doubted. No efforts are made for the education of girls, the parent are unwilling to educate them. They are treated like second class members. The suppression of women continues uninterrupted in many parts, sections of rural & urban India. Our constitution provides equal rights to all men or women but on ground women don't have the rights guaranteed to them in the constitution, male domination denies them the right to equality. Women are told to be dependent but are always discouraged to be independent. India for centuries is a male dominated society and would not like women encroaching their territory. This is the mindset. For centuries many social reformers fought against gender discrimination, but its still a long walk to socio-economic independence of women. From the mind of men, the nonsense belief they are masters must end, so will end the bias against women. Gender equality makes a nation progressive. (Team VHF)

Child Labour

13th September, 2019

CHILD LABOUR

Save The Child
Child labour is inhuman, physical & mental torture must be stopped. Complete child abolition is only possible, if we control the fast rising population. Our cities are overpopulated with each passing day. Our cities big or small are witnessing large scale migration from villages. Employment for all is a major issue besides issues like safe drinking water, proper sanitation, shelter & other basic amenities. Its known fact that for a city in India dealing with such issues is too difficult. Growing population means poverty and poverty is the root cause for child labour. In many cases a child does this to support family & in other cases, a child willingly gets into child labour. A curb on child labour in present circumstances is just not possible. We believe population control is one solution, rural development is another, migration to cities in search of livelihood could come down resulting in drop in migration to cities. Our cities would then be able to meets the needs of people. Lets take a reality check, in 1947 we were 32 crores & today we are 132 crores. A huge jump of 100 crores in 72 yrs. astonishing isn't it. For 72 yrs we never bothered to control population, never realised that increasing population gives birth to infinite problems. Having more children means problem of livelihood & the result is child labour. Lets control population and many of our problems could be resolved. Its our duty to save childhood.  Child labour is inhuman & cruel.

Crime Against Women

Crime Against Women

Disrespect to women is the biggest crime against humanity. Centuries have come and gone, but the plight of women has not changed. Time has helplessly watched women suffering discrimination, oppression, exploitation, degradation, aggression, humiliation. The Vedas glorified women as the mother, the creator, one who gives life and worshipped her as a 'Devi' or Goddess. But their glorification has made no change in their lives. Male violence against women is a worldwide phenomenon. Fear of violence is an important factor in the lives of most women. Fear of violence is the cause of lack of participation in every sphere of life. There are various forms of crime against women. The gender bias has made the lives of women a hell. In this 21st century, lets pledge ourselves to stop crime against women. They are half of our population and they deserve Honour, Equality and Equal opportunities at home and in the society.
